Plagiarism Policy

The Editorial Team of Al-Iraqia Journal of Islamic Studies and Research supports the minimization of plagiarism for any manuscript, therefore this journal does not accept any manuscripts exposed to plagiarism. To support it, the journal Al-Iraqia Journal of Islamic Studies and Research takes precautions such as checking manuscripts through Turnitin before publishing.

Definition:

Taking other people's essays (opinions and so on) and making them look like their own compositions (opinions,etc.), for example publishing other people's writings on their own; plagiarism (KBBI Online). Articles must be original, unpublished, and not pending publication. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified, so that it differs from the original text.

If plagiarism is identified, the Editor is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve according to level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

Plagiarism Rate

  1. Plagiarize some short sentences from other articles without citing the source. Action: The author is given a warning and request to change the text and quote correctly.
  2. Plagiarized most of the articles without proper citation and not citing the source. Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in Al-Iraqia Journal of Islamic Studies and Research journals and the author get penalized for not being allowed to publish article in this journal.

All article writers are responsible for the content of articles they submit because they sign the Letter of Originality Declaration Form Al-Iraqia Journal of Islamic Studies and Research. If the article is classified as plagiarism, then all authors will have the same action.

If the author is proven submitted manuscripts to Al-Iraqia Journal of Islamic Studies and Research by simultaneously sending to other journals, and overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, then action will be taken according to point 2. If plagiarism is found outside the rules above, the editor of Al-Iraqia Journal of Islamic Studies and Research journals has right to provide punisment according to the policy of editor team.
